„The Old Camp seems powerful and well organized. If I want protection and influence in the Colony, this could be the right place to start.“
Quest Log „Admission to the Old Camp”

How much level you need in each chapter and how much of that the quests on this page already give you – the rest you get from combat.

Experience from quests are all quests on this page up to this chapter combined – the reward of an acceptance quest counts starting from the next chapter, since you only receive it after you already have the level.

Calculated with the Build Helper on "Gothic", without jewelry and potions: first the circles in order, then mana – spell damage depends on the circle, not on mana. "Hits" = hits to kill with the named spell; the enemies are in the order of the chapters; gray = the build is not yet viable at this level. From level 10 the table calculates with the Fire Robe and the circles – an assumption, because at what level Corristo demands upon recruitment is not in the decoded game code. A full playthrough was at level 20–28 in Ch. 4.

Frequently asked questions about the Fire Mage
How do I become a Fire Mage?
First Admission to the Old Camp with Diego (Chapter 1), then Trial of Fire with Corristo (Chapter 3).
How do I join the Old Camp?
Talk to Diego: With Admission to the Old Camp (Ch. 1) you become a Shadow. For this these tasks count: Test of Faith, Out of Sight, A New Fence for Fisk, The Vanished Warder, A Ring for Fingers and The Cult's Recipe.
Until when can I become a Fire Mage?
Trial of Fire with Corristo is a quest of Chapter 3. Whether admission still works after that, the game code doesn't say – the admission dialogues are not decoded.
Why won't Corristo teach me Fourth Circle of Magic?
Corristo only teaches Fourth Circle of Magic once you can use Third Circle of Magic, and only for Fire Mages.
